  1. I don’t agree with Hardy’s assessment of Aljo’s gameplanning. Maybe it’s more of his team than him, but the Yan rematch and the Cejudo fights were very measured. I might have agreed with that in the past, but it seems Longo has been able to channel Aljo’s chaos as of late, particularly his striking.

At the same time, Aljo spams takedowns in the open with little to no setup. It’s why he fails so much more often compared to wrestling against the cage. Not only is he failing, but he burning a lot of energy with his only measure of safety being the “all fours” position everyone gives him crap for. I’d be much more comfortable with him pressuring hard early and wrestling against the cage because that is a very dangerous habit to have against someone who knows how to strike down the center well, especially someone like O’Malley who has a great eye for a finish.

  2. Didn’t really like how his narrative was just boiling them down to caricatures like Sterling just being this entirely free flow in the moment doesn’t plan fighter

  3. I really question how intelligent Dan really is if he can’t recognize that aljo isn’t just winging it in fights . You don’t get to the top of any sports winging it much less a sport where your getting physical repercussions for your mistakes

  4. Is it just me or does anyone else find Dan Hardy insufferable now that he’s fully independent?

Maybe that Paul/Diaz fight burned a lot of his goodwill left for me, but it was so cringey listening him talk a bunch of bullshit up.

He doesn’t really have impartial opinions anymore either.

Not to mention how fucking annoying he is with his bullshit wolf tickets.
