  4. Nursulton Ruziboev is 6’5”.

    I was going to ask how this guy is going to be able to make 170 against Joaquin Buckley, but apparently he used to fight at 155. 154, actually, several times.

    Wtf. This guy is going to smash Buckley. Weird fight to make right after Buckley established himself as a top welterweight. He and literally anyone in the top 15 is a great matchup and you’re just tossing him to an unranked wolf here. Give him less of a murderer if he’s doing you a solid and making the St. Louis card better.

  5. kind of a long shot but I don’t have many friends in NYC that are into MMA, and looking to find a group that likes watching big cards together. Any interest from any NYC folks here?

    And also stop trying to ice champions for marquee destinations

    If the mighty UFC 300 was headlined by Jamal fucking Hill, then clearly you don’t need specific fighters on specific cards.

    Also not every card has to be headlined by a championship fight. UFC 301 would’ve been a hundred times better with Costa v Sean Strickland as main event than Pantoja and Steve Urkel

  17. Are UK fans really invested in Leon? I think if I was from those lands and they announced him headlining I wouldn’t give a single frick, heck I find Belal to be closer in terms of charisma to old McGregor than Leon.
    On the other hand, Aspinall is a fighter I feel worthwhile following

  18. I’m making a prediction, and I hope this doesn’t happen, but there’s a chance that we see a leg break between ~~Christian Rodriguez~~ Jonathan Martinez and Jose Aldo. Leg kicks are central to ~~Christian’s~~ Jonathan’s game and part of the reason they are so effective is because he throws them very hard. There’s only a handful of fighters with great kick defense in MMA. Aldo is one of them.

  23. Manchester ppv starting at 3AM England time is the reason why they are never going to do an African card, another 2 hours even further away from the PPV NA market.

  24. The ufc is so stupid to have Conor headline a ppv for ifw. He hasn’t won a fight in like 5 years. So many fresh matchups to headline the event make more sense. Pennington vs pena was the move. We are being robbed!

  28. Does anyone else get annoyed when great fights don’t last long? Max vs Charles, Conor vs Aldo, DP vs Gaychee 2, jiri vs Alex. I would have been cool with any of these endings still happening but after like 10 minutes of fighting or so. Its such blue balls when things end so sudden you don’t even get to enjoy it.

  31. Has anyone received the presale email for 303? I decided to check out the fight club option today and joined the queue and it didn’t even ask for payment. Not sure how this typically works..

  32. Making the main card start 3am local time for UFC is horrible, but I do with ONE FC would compromise a bit with their Friday fights and do some of them at a time that’s good both locally and for my PST time zone

    Doing half of the weeks in the morning and half at night should mean everyone in the world gets an acceptable time on half the cards, and local fighters never have to do any stupid 5am fighting like the UFC is gonna have for THE FREAKING TITLE FIGHT

  34. If I was a pro athlete making 50 million a year in the NBA, MLB, etc., I wouldn’t do paid endorsement deals. I would definitely be buying tv ad time and putting myself in dumb, abstract commercials. i.e. I swim to the bottom of a milk-filled pool to pick up a box. I bring the box up and open it. Inside the box is an ornament of an egg. My ears fall off my head and I float up into the sky.

    Let people go crazy speculating what product the commercial is for or what it means (it’s for nothing and means nothing).

    Maybe put out fake rumours online that it’s for subliminal mind control. Have fun with it!

    More fun and less degrading than doing all-state or subway commercials.

  37. There’s a lot that’s cringe about the culture of MMA, but if there’s one thing that’s great about it is that we don’t have parents living vicariously through fighters and speaking in their behalf. Parents of boxers are another level of brainrot.

    Then again, MMA may only lack this because it hasn’t been around very long.

  39. Really wish they’d strip Jon and make Aspinal vs Curtis for the HW title at UFC Manchester. We’ve had like 9 HW title fights in nearly 9 years now, that is a disgrace and has made the division almost irrelevant at this stage, such a shame.

  40. Aspinall is going to have to completely change his body clock as if he was fighting overseas in a different time zone when he’s fighting in the City he’s from 🤣🤣🤣 What a complete joke man! No transport will be available for the fans at like 6AM on a Sunday either when they will be leaving the building. Madness.
