While I dont think Cub won, I dont think it was as one sided as people are making it out. He won the 3rd and had good moments in the first. Theres def been way more one sided fights where the judges got it wrong. I dont think Hakeem was as massively robbed as people are making out.

Cub still being able to hang with the strikers at 45/35 at nearly 40 years old is pretty remarkable. Also love his honesty in saying he thought he lost.

Ehh. Round 1 he got hit with the hardest shot and it was close. Round 2 was close but Hakeem had a lot of control time in the clinch while also getting rocked again and tagged a few times at the end of the round. Then lost the 3rd easily. Anyone screaming robbery must have just became a fan. It could have gone either way and I would not be mad at either outcome. That’s the type of fight this was.

For a hyped canadian striking prospect how is hakeem making it so close with cub? Couldn’t even hurt cub but cub could hurt him. I remember watching cub as a young kid when he was in the WEC and now I’m out of college and his still fighting close with these guys. It doesn’t make sense at all. If we count facial damage hakeem won but on body language cub won, hakeem was wobbled bad at the end of the 2nd and in round 1 cubs shots made him fly across the octagon.
Round 3 was closer but cub took him down and had his back for a couple seconds. Super close fight, thought hakeem won but he can’t be mad at the judges. The UFC gave him old man cub and he couldn’t finish him. Nobody he can blame but himself.
Really bad scorecards.

Watched the fight on silent while doing other things and thought the fight could have gone either way. I know the judges have a margin of mistake and factored that in.
Not a robbery in my eyes but cub being humble enough to not be sure he won paints a different picture.
1 and 3 Cub is reasonable. Hakeem only has himself to blame with how he fights.
