  1. Man everyone is missing the actual robbery – Li got fucked out of a fight with Tony Ferguson, imagine being the guy who gets Tony on a ppv when the narrative is Tony is getting old. Instead he gets a way less notable opponent who came in 10lb more than he did and loses. You don’t get these opportunities again, you’d hope he got paid more than whatever his win bonus was to take this fight because otherwise it’s just a lose lose for him

  2. people are not acknowledging at all that jingliang weighed in at 170 while d-rod while 9 pounds heavier. he looked way bigger on fight night. jingliang was the smaller fighter, going up in weight, against an opponent who has been a monster in his own weight class and IMO dominated. outstriked the “better” striker. landed the better shots, landed the hardest shot, and got a takedown. pressed forward, landed great body shots. you could tell jingliang was in total control, did not feel any threat at all from d-rod. this was an easy win for jingliang, the problem is the UFC. they dont give asian fighters the benefit of the doubt. leech easily won, smaller fighter, landed better shots, got the only takedown, etc. did d-rods face say victory after that decision? lol no.

  3. Man idk. Everyone’s all mad about this fight but I think mostly because of the wholesome/badass Leech stuff before, but to me that was a fight between two guys that never really got out of first gear. Wasn’t impressed by either guy, and I think it was largely a result of two guys having to try and fight each other with no prep on a days notice. I guess it would probably be better with full camps but I don’t really think it’s a matchup that NEEDS to be rematched

  4. 1) weight different shouldn’t play a role in judging imo, both accepted to fight in that weight

    2) while Drod only throw jab, number wise he won (both strike and a.strike)

    3) The leech did rock Drod once, but most of the fight he is just throwing air strike and dodging the jab. That made him look very passive

It is a very close fight and I don’t think it is a robbery. If you know it is going to be a decision, be more aggressive

  5. Every fight outcome that seems wrong is a robbery now. I thought it was a close fight that Li won, but both had too little output. If you told me that you were a judge and you saw D-Rod’s more active jab and Li’s larger, more looping strikes being partially blocked and that is why you gave it to D-Rod, I could understand. If you said damage was even by your estimation (which to me it wasn’t, but I can accept how you could see that), and you looked at pressure and control, I can also see why you’d say D-Rod won.

To me, close fights exist and judges have no oversight so we can’t understand how and why they make these decisions. This fight was close and I think Li won, but realistically, I’d struggle to call it a robbery.

  6. Wah wah wah. He should have been banned from professional fighting after the eye gouge on Jake Matthews.

When the cards are on the table, he’s a cheater. He’d rather permanently injure an opponents eyesight than take a fair loss.

I wouldn’t even feel safe training with him.

  7. This whole situation has me wanting to scream, mma fighters need a union yesterday. I know we talk about it never happening, but I have seen more fighters vocal about frustration in the past couple years than ever before. It just can’t come soon enough
