I remembered this. They hyped Jen’s return to the moon and then threw this “kid” at him as a sacrifice and Joe starched him. He ruined their little party real quick……….. I do like Jen’s though – super good dude. Hall of fame material for sure.
And it was then I realized I need to become his fan

First PPV I ever purchased. Lauzon fan for life. Tyson griffin, Melvin Guillard, Roger Huerta all on the card too.
Simpler times with only 9 fights on the whole card.
The most hilarious and awkward thing about this KO is that Joe for some reason got put on the ultimate fighter and Jens was the coach on there. Imagine being a coach and one of the guys you’re coaching just KO’d you.
I posted this video as an appreciation to one of the OG’s, in case someone didn’t see it.
And then Jens became Lauzon’s coach on TUF right after this haha
I remember watching this live.
The best part was a few months later there was a TUF season. Joe Lauzon was a contestant trying to get into the UFC and Jens Pulver was one of the coaches picking fighters for his team. AWKWARD.

this was such a huge upset at the time, but looking back on it holy fuck that is such a huge mismatch. Jens had 0 paths to victory in that fight.
