   Don’t get me wrong Thiago was a powerhouse pre knee injury, but we’ve seen enough fights since to know he’s not the same fighter.

7. This is clearly a fight to set up for Jamahal Hill. He’s one of the better options at 205 and if he wins and finishes Santos, he will likely be very close to a title shot.

   This fight already seemed like it was set up to be the main event of a fight night when they announced it a couple months ago. I have no problem with it. Fight nights, if positioned properly, are ideal cards for prospects and title contenders to shine and set themselves up for PPV cards and bigger UFC events.

29. I loved Santos pre-knee surgeries but he needs to evolve his style like Overeem or Aldo. Lose some weapons, create new ones. He’s not a good fighter to watch atm.

31. Why the *fuck* do they keep putting Thiago in 5 rounders? He’s still an explosive monster, he just can’t keep that pace for 5 rounds so he has to tone it down. It makes no sense to me to put 205ers and heavyweights in main events unless they’re for sure #1 contender fights.
