Paulo Costa really isn’t such a bad return fight for Rockhold the more I think about it. He fought once in 2018, once 2019, once in 2020, and once in 2021. That’s once a year for 5 straight years if we include this year. He’s barely been more active than Luke.
Man, I really hope Luke pulls this off. I am an absolute sucker for written-off fighters proving they’re still elite.
It’s very convenient that all the fighters who try to downplay being undefeated as “not that impressive” are in fact NOT undefeated. Pretty interesting.

I think my favourite thing about Terrance McKinney is that he’s also a pretty good wrestler. With that kind of power and striking you’d totally expect him to be really one dimensional but he’s showed some good wrestling

Demian Maia thinks Khabib is the greatest of all time. Unclear whether he meant greatest **lightweight** of all time, but I think that it’s reasonable to assume that is what he meant given the context of his discussion with Luke Thomas.
In any case, I think we have to rate Maia’s opinion pretty highly here. He’s a diehard grappler and very good UFC fighter. He knows what he’s talking about.
