  1. I’ve noticed Khamzat often gets his takedown entries when the opponent throws the right straight.

He will reactively duck down as their hips square up and go for the double. He’s done it in many of his fights now.

Also I think if he can consistently get Gilbert to the fence he probably wins the fight. Gilbert’s not going to be able to express his BJJ to its fullest potential if he’s against there. Gilbert Should keep it in the centre, don’t throw erroneous lead straights without setting it up, and better to concede the takedown in the centre if he’s deep on your hips than let him drag you to the cage. The wall walk not worth gimping your entire bottom game for, not against this guy at least.

Don’t know if Gilbert has good pivots and leg kicks, but now would be a good time to use them. Frustrating Khamzat should probably be the name of the game early on.

  2. I really love how Khamzat does not push Li away after he choked him out… a lot of people do and just pushes someone away so they can run and celebrate, so I really appreciate that Khamzat didn’t. Showed class that he was waiting for the doctors to come first.

  3. Absolutely dominant performance, but wondering — can someone that’s more of a MMA vet share their thoughts on how good Borz really is? Is there even enough tape on him?

I’m seeing him as a huge favorite against Burns on betting sites, which almost feels disrespectful considering Burns’ resume and experience. There’s clearly a reason for it, but wondering if it’s mostly based results focused, or if there’s something that can be clearly seen to someone who understands the sport better.

  4. I’m riding the khamzat hypetrain till the end 🚞🚞🚞

    CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKERS!!

This Saturday we either reach the stars or we crash and burn.
