  1. Watching this fight with my brother we both felt bad for Pedro because after a certain point it just looked like he was fighting a bigger, more technically sound version of himself. Aldo is the man.

  2. Never been much of a fan of Aldo, didn’t dislike him but maybe I just never felt the same way as others as I got into MMA after he was ‘past his prime.’ But I can’t deny that he is a class act after seeing his interactions with other people. We need more role models like this in combat sports.

  3. Funny how so many casuals discount Aldo for the Conor fight, like it’s impossible to come back and be a champion again. That loss derailed Aldo for a time, but he looks really sharp, unlike nearly every other champion who took a bitter loss, and it won’t surprise me if he schools Yan when the time comes.

  4. For the UFC, a McGregor-Aldo rematch makes more sense than any other fight for McGregor these days. I can’t imagine people care about seeing him lose to anyone else.

  5. Man, even though Conor is a two division champ and finished Aldo in 13 seconds… Aldo for me still has way better career. This dude was a feared killer back in the days and is still competing at the highest level. Insane

  6. People need to remember aldo is only 34. For reference: stipe is almost 40, ngannou is 34, jones is 34, usman is 34, dc was 40-41 when he last fought, olives is 31, and ciryl gane is 31

Aldo is absolutely not at an age where he can’t compete with young guys, and plenty of the best pfp fighters in the ufc are close to his age. He has plenty of fight left in him and it’s not a shame to lose to him by any measure.

  7. Aldo vs McGregor 2 has to happen… I want Aldo to have the chance to avenge the fight… Although pretty unlikely seeing as how Conors talking about moving up to Welterweight/Middleweight/Light Heavyweight… Doubt he’d ever go down to 145…. and Aldo would be at a disadvantage if they fought at 155… although maybe not
