I think Islam is great, but doesn’t necessarily have the fighting IQ and timing Khabib has. However he has become almost an extention of Khabib in a way. Khabibs coaching helped him alot last fight, he almost did everything that Khabib was screaming to him during the fight.
For Khabib fans out there, this is the closest you get to watching Khabib fight again … unless he decides to come back… which I doubt.
I would be interested in a fight between Islam and Micheal, even though I think Micheal loses. There are hardly any good wrestlers at LW besides Kevin Lee and Charles Olivera. We already know BJJ just isn’t enough to keep these Dagastani wrestlers at bay. Micheal Chandler is also very strong in the wrestling department. Just watch his free flow wrestling videos with Usman, absolutely insane.

Pretty much agree. By midway through round 2 I started fast forwarding as soon as Islam got control on the ground. Not something I ever do for fights I’m looking forward to. Usually reserved for the fattest, shittiest heavyweight fights and the worst womens fights.
