8. It’s not about what you did, it’s what you and media didn’t do, and that’s give him respect. Izzy was clearly the star and the fight was marketed as his claim to a second belt, ignoring the man who held that belt. And none of that is Izzy’s fault, he and the CKB team was giving credit where credit was due. Plus he was clearly the star. But you can’t treat a champ with that stellar resume like that.

   I don’t think it was as bad as Nunes vs Rousey or Stipe vs Ngannou 1, but it’s up there and Jan was pretty clear in his message.

32. I think most fighters don’t really understand that the president of the UFC and the UFC marketing team are totally different entities. I don’t know this for sure but I believe there is a director of marketing, and this person’s job, and their teams job is to create the promotional materials for the fights that are created and approved by the matchmakers and the president of the UFC. How they choose to promote this is up to them and Dana may or may not be in there for approvals. Just because the story of this fight is about the middleweight champion stepping up to fight the LHW, doesn’t mean people don’t believe in you Jan.

34. Did I miss the UFC shitting on Jan? Yeah, Israel was used heavily in marketing as he is the bigger star who was challenging for two belts. However, I still saw a crap load of marketing for Jan and his “polish power” / how he was this amazing knockout artist.

    I’m not gonna blame the UFC for fans/the media favouring Izzy.
