Jan is so nice.
Israel: “You’ve got a good guard.”
Jan: “Sure buddy, haha I would love to be your body guard!”
Between this and Dana’s misunderstanding of “You don’t believe in me?” There’s gonna be Jan “Lost in Translation” Blachowicz compilation on the horizon
That poor man. Even after headlining a PPV, he still has to find extra work to put some Pierogi on the table.
Pay your fighters, Dana!
Jan is all types of thickness.
Little do you know, but Jan worked a moonlight shift as head security officer for Jimmy Hoffa.
As someone who really didn’t have a dog in this fight, it was really nice seeing this exchange. I like both guys and I think both of them made a good account of themselves last night.
Jan is such a likeable dude, so happy for him
Even tho I wanted Izzy to lose this fight, I love his attitude afterwards, no excuses and extremely humble.
Big Polish Teddy Bear:)
They gotta get a beer sometime. Seemed to get along super well and really respect each other
Jan would make a great bodyguard for Izzy. He’s already shown he can dive on top of him at a moments notice no problem
I saw him by elevators in NY, NY Casino in Las Vegas (UFC239)after he won against Rockhold. Guy has magnetic charisma. A real physical presence.
Polish Power™, New Dad Reflexes, Old Man Strength. The trifecta was just too much for Izzie.
The respect between these guys was refreshing
Not a good look for the UFC when one of your champions is paid so poorly that he’s negotiating high-paying side gigs inside the octagon.
His prowess impressed the fuck out of me last night. Up until the Reyes fight I had him figured for an effective, but flat-footed brawler. Now I see Jan has much more skill and awareness than most people gave him credit for.
I want Jan to be my body guard <3
I hated the biased commentary. Jan may have bit on the faints, but if he didn’t, Izzy would have thrown a lot more. Jans defense stopped him from doing that. He did good at kicking the legs when he can and his jab landed a lot. Joe and cormier would be praising issy but ignore that Jan jabbed the face and then jabbed the body.
I wish the commentators would STFU when the fighters are talking to each other. This happened a few times last night. So annoying.
Jan looks like a real life For Honor character.
Jan before he became a mma pro fighter was a Bouncer so he would be a good bodyguard.
What were they saying ? I have a tin can for an ear
I was really happy to see there be no animosity between them. I’m a HUGE fan of Izzy and a recent fan of Jan. This and the “good game” slap on the ass made me smile
Jan might be the most likeable champ ever. Love that guy. And I was rooting for Izzy last night but fuck, Jan is the man.
Adesanya said he made him look like a, “butter guard” as in Jan passed his guard like a hot knife through butter. Jan heard body guard.
At least that is how I heard it.
But the real question is, how does everyone feel with Jan as Champion still? Alot of people doubt(ed) Jan and seemed to downplay his skills. But he actually seems REALLY high level and absolutely stands out in his division. He could most likely piece up the whole division I think.
Polish Stipe?
That’s actually hilarious
What did Izzy mean when he said “you made me look like I had a butter guard”? What is a butter guard anyways?
I really enjoyed the respect displayed in this fight. Fights with bad blood are a helluva a lot of fun, too, but I always enjoy seeing respect like this as well.
Watching this live, I thought I heard Jan say, “Did you make good money?”, and I thought he was complimenting Israel on getting the bag as a way to help take his mind off the L lol. What actually happened is better.
