  6. Was watching some old Dustin clips brought up by youtube due to my watching Dustin v Hooker for 800th time, and I had no idea how heated the talk between Dustin & Alverez got before their 2nd fight.

    Eddie was talking *mad* shit. Kind of hard to understand what all he was saying, but seemed to roughly that his illegal knees to head had broken Dustin, and Dustin was afraid of him, had lost the first one (Eddie’s memory undoubtedly effected by the beating Dustin gave him prior to him cheating), and was getting killed in second.

    Ariel had them on at same time and Eddie (on the phone) was just talking on and on while Dustin’s face got more and more serious.

    Then Dustin said something close to (was 5AM so I’m not going remember exact): *Where I’m from that has some costs, and come fight night you better believe you are going to pay in full*

    Eddie then did indeed cop one of the hardest most sustained beatdowns I’ve ever seen, because he refused to stay down.

    I’ve seen that finish many times, but never realized regurgitated bravado was what was holding Eddie up so long.

  11. No offense to her, but how bad is Hailey Cowan if she’s only -120 against Ailin Perez? Perez looked terrible in her UFC debut against Egger and came up through Samuri Fight House with her wins being all against fighters with *zero* victories.

  18. I was starting to get annoyed with Jack Slack being so uninterested with the UFC cards, but by god they just aren’t getting better.

    The UFC can barely be bothered to get one good matchup on a fight night, and even the PPVs have just a single truly great and significant fight.

    It’s not even that the UFC doesn’t have stars at the moment, they’re just not making enough quality matchups between the great fighters they have.

  25. I want Gane to win, but the more I read/watch about him saying he doesn’t train, saying he doesn’t like MMA and just does it for money, him never seeming that motivated to win the title… makes me feel like he might not win.

    I think he needs to want it more and be more desperate, but I guess we’ll see if talent can take him all the way.

  28. These prediction threads take over the entire subreddit. Can’t see any other post with 13 individual prediction threads for every single fight. Like there’s a million sites where you record your picks, why is there a need for one on reddit too?

    @mods isn’t there a way to fix this? I’d block the account posting them so I don’t have to see it, but it’s the same one also posting the fight night threads

  32. How many of you guys follow Claudia Gadelha on social media? If not, I highly recommend that you do.

    She is an inspiration not only to other fighters, but regular people at large.

    She retired from fighting; overcame health issues with her brain. She now works at the PI as Director of Athlete Development; still works out rigorously; constantly reading and absorbing knowledge. Best of all, she’s made a lot of smart financial investments it’d not be a surprise if she didn’t even need to work at all
