  1. IIRC Dustin edged the third round, made a few adjustment to a slow downed KZ. However, KZ responded back in the 4th. This is always my goto recommendation when somebody asked for a fight that shows all aspects of MMA

  2. I had a dream Korean Zombie knocked out Volk. I also had a dream Manhoef knocked out Romero and I woke to to news of Manhoef apprehending 3 robbers.

All I’m saying is LOOK INTO IT

  3. I don’t think the Ortega fight necessarily showed KZ has “fallen off.” I think Ortega is *very* good and probably the 3rd best guy in the division, and I think he could beat a lot of 155ers. He almost finished Volk and and if he fought Max again I think that fight goes differently.

I say all that because I think people have written off KZ too much following the Ortega fight. KZ is actually a tough SOB for taking that fight, I’m sure not a lot of guys wanted it

  4. Problem is, we are 10 years removed from that version of Jung. Not that he’s not still a great fighter. But he’s got a lot of miles on him since then.

  5. I can see Volk easily beating the Zombie. Volks got the ground game to keep the fight where he wants and is the superior striker. But the Zombie also has crazy power.

All in all I’m betting on Volk by dominant decision.

  6. Eh, I think TKZ lost round 3. Very fun fight where Zombie was step ahead with his pressure, pace, and grappling. Dustin started to put things together in round 3 countering well off the cage with his boxing, but TKZ’s just got a good chin. Round 4, he nails Dustin with some huge shots along the fence and then puts him away.

The roll to mount to counter the takedown, and the fake like he’s reach for the leg from guard into a heavy punch were beautiful.
