Not many people put on better fights than TKZ
That last second Yair Rodriguez elbow is still haunting. I think he won that fight if not for that. Is what it is. Also sucks that he had mandatory military duty and has like a 3 year gap in his career because he would have probably had a lot more banger fights and could possibly be champion or something by now. He’s still strong now but that’s a lot of youth to give up when he could of been training to be a better fighter. I also think it’s deserve that he gets an actual UFC event and not a Fight Night event in some random state instead of Vegas.
I really hope he is getting paid, KZ is a warrior but he used to take a ton of damage.
Like uncle Chael always says. It’s not about ranking, it’s about your place on the card.
Well deserved. He’s pretty much what every MMA fighter should strive to be.
There’s something to be said for being so good that you can headline any fight night card you appear on but not quite good enough to consistently fight for titles.
He’s hung right above “gatekeeper” status for a long time without quite breaking into the top 5 for more than a couple fights at a time.
Fantastic career, really. I love me some 🇰🇷🧟.
Had no idea he won against Poirer. Was it a banger? Need to watch that tomorrow
Edit: Watched it. Was a fucking banger.
If I recall he recently said he would like to take some 3 rounders because the training for so many 5 rounders is grueling. I guess the pay is better for him to main event though.
I feel like he would really benefit being a co main event in a big card. I know his a fan favourite here but I realised just comparing social numbers/view his really not as popular as he seems.
He really missed that exposure that most fighters got from the McGregor/Rousey era because he was away from mandatory military service and is stuck with UFC making him headline Fight nights.
Unless his getting big back room $$$$$$ Id like to see him McGregor, Adesanya etc card so he can get more casual fans and have more leverage to negotiate headlining fight nights.
As it should be, he never puts on a bad fight.
Hell of a resume too

His fights are always entertaining. Very bitter about the yair one
Does his pay match that? Cuz his manager better be on it.
That’s actually one of the more insane stats. 9 years too, that surprised me. Damn, I’m getting old
The people love Zombie
He may never get the belt but TKZ is a fuckin legend of the sport. His fights never disappoint and he ain’t scared to fight with anyone. He deserves to keep headlining events. It’s not likely but man TKZ winning the belt would be greatest shit ever for me ass an mma fan.
What was the four year gap
hes got a dope name for marketing
Duh, it’s The Korean Zombie my guy
KZ took out Porier… let that sink in.
Zombie is the man.
Damn.. Aldo fight was 8 years ago? Time flies
Jesus look at those bonuses. No wonder he’s universally loved.
TKZ deserves to fight Max. Win or lose, it’s a money fight for him and his stock is gonna skyrocket
Cause he puts on a show and brings in a Korean audience that otherwise wouldn’t be watching
Huh. Didn’t even know he tough Dustin.
Man I wish TKZ fought more often.
That Porier win aged extremely well.
Wow I feel like the Yair fight just happened. Wild how quickly time passes sometimes.
That’s actually impressive AF for a fighter who’s not a champion.
Good for TKZ, he deserves every headline because he’s one of the most entertaining fighters.
Ryan Hall like in his inactivity is Korean Zombie, Joe!
I imagine it’s because he’s their number 1 Korean fighter.
And he pretty much always lives up to the billing.
Interesting that TKZ hasn’t been on a PPV since 2013.
