  1. This was such a good card overall. The Ruotolo brothers are insane and Andrew Wiltse is growing every single fight he has. Highly recommend checking out his yt channel if you wanna see bjj that’s actually exciting. He’s a very new black belt who’s won worlds at every belt and kind of came out of nowhere. He uploads tons of sparring footage.

Also do yourself a favour and check out Flograppling’s series about the gym he’s at. It’s crazy. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=t03TqJ7-Oiw

  2. Pretty cool how the UFC is letting their fighters compete in things like this. I know that was one of the many sticking points with Fedor in not letting him continue to compete in Sambo. Considering the low risk of injury and so long as it doesn’t interfere with their time in the cage I love that the UFC is being more open to these types of things.

  3. Is really nice to see more and more Brazilian fighters speaking good English so that foreign audiences can get to know them better without a translator.

Burns seems like a cool guy.

  4. Yeah its clear he studied and emulated his style. Even his build is similar. Perhaps he can go farther with enough luck since he’s more athletic and has stronger wrestling while still having the fluidity and technicality.

  5. All I can think is what a dick move it is to make the loser walk around in a stupid little circle so you can show him off to the crowd lol. Hey ref, it’s a BJJ competition. The audience knows which one is Gilbert Burns
