  1. Hope things get cleared up and hes open about the reason. Like yea he might be doing stuff “In service of MMA” or it might come out he was using that as an excuse to maybe be a bit of a dick to some people

  2. As far as we know does being fired from the UFC also mean he’s not going to fight for them? It shouldn’t since as a fighter for the UFC he’s an independent contractor right?

  3. I really like Dan Hardy, I find his love for combat sports infectious but over the past year I felt like his attitude had changed significantly, maybe he had a run in with someone that sent him down the “fuck this I dare them to fire me” path.

Athough his knowledge of the sport is incredible and he may find himself breaking down fights elsewhere, I do think in time he will realise that sometimes you have to play the game and not being involved with the UFC anymore will be something he will come to regret over time.

  4. Dan’a breakdowns are absolutely phenomenal. He is very much like the Dave Chappelle sketch “when keeping it real goes wrong” but he values his morals / pride over a job and that’s admirable.

  5. UFC’s commentary is going downhill fast.

It’s literally Rogan and DC bantering about stuff unrelated to the fight and Jon Anik interrupting them with one of his 5 lines he uses in circles..

    Bisping is cool.

  6. Man I I dunno if it’s because of my broke mentality but the thing that comes to mind with these things is like, how are you gonna jeopardize a 300k salary a year over a disagreement with another employee? Especially when you’ve been warned. If I was a retired fighter and I had that job you better believe I’d be doing everything to not put my position in danger.

  7. Bellator, PFL, etc should try to get an accurate account of what Dan said to make sure it was just a disagreement and not anything inappropriate. If it comes back clean someone should grab him immediately. I’m not the biggest fan of his commentary, but he’d be a marked upgrade for most promotions.
